Call to order:  The meeting was called to order by Robin Bond at 3:00 pm.

 Introductions: Captain Tim Skuby, the new the Commander of the Activities of the Pacific was introduced.
 
Minutes Approved: The minutes from the May 16th meeting were approved as written.
 
Treasurer’s Report:  Chris reported that there is $1,446.90 in the HOST checking account

Next Membership Meeting:
The next membership meeting will be held on August 8th.  The topics to consider: The users of the Ala Wai harbor’s concerns with the upcoming dredging that is scheduled to occur in July; an update on harbor security by Bill Anonsen; a presentation on the lessons learned from the cruise ship exercise completed in July; and a general announcement of the activities occurring on the water.
 
HOST Secretary Position:
The HOST Secretary position is still vacant.  If you know someone who may be interested in filling this position, please contact Robin.
 
Homeland Security and USCG’s recent changes:
Captain Kanazawa informed the Board of the changes that may occur in the USCG due to the creation of the Department of Homeland Security.  The creation of the new department has resulted in the Captain of the Port’s title to be changed to the Commander of the Activities of the Pacific, and reprioritizes the mission of the USCG in Hawaii.  In addition to the duties added to the Marine Safety Office (MSO), the MSO will continue with their marine safety responsibilities.
